Executive Perspectives (EP) began in 1983 when a group of students at the Dartmouth College, Tuck Business School went through an experience that changed their lives. During the last term of their MBA program, they went through an experience called “The Tycoon Game” which was pioneered by Professor James Brian Quinn (one of the teaching icons at Dartmouth – author of The Strategy Process, The Intelligent Enterprise, Managing Innovation, etc.). Tycoon was a week-long simulation experience that allowed the students to practice and implement the conceptual and theoretical knowledge they had acquired at business school in a realistic and challenging simulated environment. For each graduating MBA class, the “Tycoon Game” was a culminating exhilarating experience. Some of these students believed that the power of simulation education could be transferred to the corporate world and with the help of Colin Blaydon (Dean of the Business School), James Brian Quinn (Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship) and the newly invented PC(!) these students founded Executive Perspectives. In the 25 years since, EP has had the privilege of working with some of the world’s greatest companies on to help build their human capabilities to further their strategies. Our engagements have taken us across the globe and we are proud of the contributions we have made to the tens of thousand of people we have impacted and to the corporations they work for. EP is still run and managed by two of its original founders and remains true to its original roots, vision, and passion. More than ever, Executive Perspectives is dedicated to the ideal of, “providing the best learning experience you’ve ever had!” |
